In the wee morning hours I finished watching A Crude Awakening (?). It's a documentary about the human society's dependancy on oil. It covers the implications of reaching peak oil production and what it means to our very existance.
It's a very scary movie. It delivers a stunningly depressive message. Even though this may sound like a bad review I strongly urge you to take 90 minutes of your time to see this movie. It's important that you do so.
If you can't find a screening or afford the DVD, there are other ways.
I've spent a lot of time the last 24 hours thinking of how a society should quickly adapt to face a challenge of this proportion. Maybe, if I can find the time, I'll blog about that later.
Until then, you know what you have to do.
